Bus terminals are a vital land transportation infrastructure that plays a crucial role in supporting public mobility and driving regional growth. Lubuk Pakam, the capital of Deli Serdang Regency, enjoys a strategic location as it connects Medan with other cities in North Sumatra. However, the high volume of traffic often leads to congestion, necessitating the need for more modern and efficient public transportation. The design of the Type-B Bus Terminal in Lubuk Pakam utilizes a digital architecture approach. This concept utilizes information technology, the Internet of Things (IoT), and Building Information Modeling (BIM) to support operational efficiency, energy savings, and enhance the user experience. Data was obtained through field observations, literature studies, comparative studies, and academic guidance. The design results in a terminal concept that not only functions as a transportation hub but also as an environmentally friendly, adaptive public space that aligns with the vision of a smart city.
