PERANCANGAN PONDOK PESANTREN MODERN DI BINJAI DENGAN PENDEKATAN ARSITEKTUR MODERN

Abstract

Islam is the religion of the majority of the Indonesian population. Likewise in Binjai City, where 84.67% (Central Statistics Agency for Binjai City 2018) of the population adhere to Islam. The large number of Islamic adherents in Binjai City and the small number of Islamic boarding schools in this city will have a big influence on the development of Islamic boarding schools in Binjai City. Islamic boarding schools are a type of Islamic education in Indonesia which aims to deepen and practice Islamic religious knowledge as a guide to daily life by emphasizing the importance of morals in social life. Equipped with various supporting facilities, for all learning activities in Islamic boarding schools by providing formal and religious education methods. The application of Modern Architecture to the Islamic Boarding School building is to support Islamic boarding school facilities to become more advanced. By emphasizing materials, colors, and being able to highlight the appearance of a building that reflects its function.
