PERANCANGAN MALL DAN APARTEMEN DI MEDAN TEMA ARSITEKTUR BIOKLIMATIK

Abstrak

This research focuses on the design of a mall and apartment complex in Medan using a bioclimatic approach. The bioclimatic theme was chosen to respond to Medan's tropical climate, characterized by high rainfall and consistently warm temperatures throughout the year. The primary goal of the design is to create energy-efficient and environmentally friendly buildings by maximizing the use of natural elements such as sunlight, wind, and local vegetation.

The mall and apartment design incorporates natural ventilation strategies, the use of eco-friendly materials, and building facades that reduce the impact of direct sunlight. In addition, green open spaces and water elements are integrated to enhance thermal comfort and improve the quality of life for both residents and visitors. As a result, this project not only addresses functional needs but also contributes to environmental sustainability and the well-being of the urban community.
