KAJIAN KAWASAN RAWAN BANJIR DI KECAMATAN DOLOK MASIHUL, KABUPATEN SERDANG BEDAGAI

Abstrak

Flooding is an event or situation where an area or land is submerged due to the increasing volume of water (Law Number 24 of 2007 concerning Disaster Management). Dolok Masihul District is one of the sub-districts in the administrative area of ​​Serdang Bedagai Regency. Dolok Masihul District consists of 27 villages and 1 Subdistrict, with a population in 2022 reaching 54,126 people (Serdang Bedagai Regency Central Statistics Agency, 2023). Dolok Masihul District is often hit by floods. This disaster occurs during the rainy season, especially with high rainfall and over a relatively long period of time. This research uses a quantitative approach where researchers emphasize spatial analysis of several parameters that trigger landslides using GIS (Geographic Information System) data processing applications. The aim of this research is to identify flood-prone zones in Dolok Masihul District, Serdang Bedagai Regency & recommend forms of flood disaster mitigation in flood-prone areas in Dolok Masihul District, Serdang Bedagai Regency.
